Here at BrightPoint Creative, we believe that promotional products are an important investment for you and your company, so they should be given as much thought as any other marketing initiative or campaign. Promotional products are a great way to get people excited about your company, and are a long-lasting way to keep your brand in front of people as the average person holds onto a promotional product for around seven months.
Before you place your order, ask yourself these questions...
Who is your audience? It’s important to consider what they want, what items would interest them, and what they would be most likely to use. It’s often the case that people pick an item that they think is cool and fun, instead of picking the item that their audience likes. It’s vital to think about how people will react to the item you are giving them.
What is your goal? It's important to have an objective for the item(s) you are ordering. For example, you could be ordering to thank your customers or clients, rewarding employees, attracting people to a booth, or increasing brand awareness. No matter what your goal is, it’s important to determine this in order to decide what you want to buy.
What is your budget? There are quality products to fit every budget, and you don’t have to spend a fortune to order something that will make an impact. Determining your budget will go a long way toward helping you decide what to order.
How many items should you order? There are minimum quantities on most products, so that’s a great place to start. If you're ordering for an event, people may take more than the allotted number, so it’s important to buy extras just in case.
Does the product represent your company? You know your style and brand better than anyone, so make sure the item you pick is a positive reflection of that. Are you going for professional, fun, creative, or traditional? Determine which representation is the best, and go from there.
What do you want your product to look like? This is the fun part – designing your product. Before you order, it’s important to have even a small idea of what you’re looking for. Think about color, imprint area (where your artwork will be placed), and decoration type (embroidered, screen printed, etched, etc).
